- When historical yearly trends in personal Internet access rate from 2006 to 2022 were compared, it appears that the Internet access rate of people in Taiwan has slightly increased compared to last year.

Historical Yearly Trends for Fixed and Mobile Broadband Penetration Rates
- When historical yearly trends in fixed and mobile broadband penetration rates from 2006 to 2022 were compared, the mobile broadband penetration rate surpassed the fixed broadband penetration rate for the first time in 2022.

Internet Connection Mode
- Internet penetration rate for people who access the internet through mixed modes is 62.75%. In comparison, internet penetration rate for people who only use fixed broadband is 2.56%, while internet penetration rate for people who only use mobile broadband in Taiwan is 18.72%, nearly 20%.

Perceived Quality of Internet Access for Fixed and Mobile Broadband
- Regarding the quality of Internet access, people were asked whether the speed of fixed and mobile broadband access was fast or slow. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being very slow and 5 being very fast, it was found that people generally thought that both fixed and mobile broadband Internet access were fast.

5G Mobile Internet Unit：％
- The 5G usage rate is 18.98%, which is 16.68% higher than the 2.3% 5G usage rate in 2020, a significant increase. A further comparison of the reasons for non-adoption of 5G by those who do or do not wish to apply for 5G found proper handling of contractual issues for those who do wish to apply for 5G to be effective in increasing 5G usage.
